Tri-County To Recognize New Officers, Board Members

The Tri-County Mental Health Services Board of directors has formally added new members and elected officers for the 2010-2011 year.

Terry Edwards, Platte County Public Administrator, has been elected to serve as chair for the next year. Richmond, Mo., resident Jim Schmidt is vice chair while Brian Rice of Excelsior Springs is Treasurer. Platte County resident Cheryl Thorp is secretary and Malcolm Wilson of Clay County is At Large Board Member. Immediate Past Chair is Sue Gonnerman, Liberty.

Four new members have joined the board. Deanne Townsend is a resident of Orrick and employed by the Bank of Orrick. Jan Zimmerman is a major for the Kansas City Police Department and former commander of the Shoal Creek Patrol Division. Allen Dillingham is director of Client and Services Development for the Builders Association. Mike O’Neal is a deputy with the Platte County Sheriff’s Department.

The new officers and members will be formally seated during the Aug. 30 annual meeting.
