Northland Coalition Plans Community Luncheon

The Northland Coalition invites the public to a planning luncheon Oct. 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room of Tri-County Mental Health Services, 3100 NE 83rd Street, Kansas City North.

The volunteers of the Northland Coalition invite community members to join them in planning programs and events to promote safe and healthy communities. In-service educational presentations are provided which offer valuable information and resources that address area issues.

This meeting will feature the Liberty Alliance for Youth (LAFY) coalition in a “sparkling moment “ presentation on their plans and prevention accomplishments. The nationally acclaimed NC association is composed of educators, representatives from social agencies, law enforcement and the legal field, as well as the community at large from Clay, Platte and Ray counties. Funding for their work comes from grants and community donations. Tri-County Mental Health Services provides administrative assistance.

The luncheon meeting is complimentary, but reservations are requested. For information visit www.northlandcoalition.com. For reservations for the luncheon contact Kara White at  (816) 877-0401 or karaw@tri-countymhs.org.
