The Northland Coalition presented awards to businesses and agenicies that contributed to the success of their programs at their Annual Meeting August 1. The Northland Coalition was formed in 2000 and is composed of community volunteers from Clay, Platte and Ray counties. The goal of the coalition is to develop programs and pursue environmental strategies that send a unified message that use by minors of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, or associated violence, is not acceptable.
