Community Living Challenge To Be Examined

The challenge of adjusting to community living will be the topic of the June 2 Family Support Group meeting.

Sponsored by Tri-County Mental Health Services, the meeting is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature Mitch Beller, Tri-County’s community support team leader and Angel Burns, community support worker.

The family support group meets the first Wednesday of each month to provide support and information for family members with a loved one who has a mental illness. Refreshments are served. The discussion includes ideas for supporting a friend, family member or loved one with mental illness, along with sharing and support from others with similar experiences.

The group meets in the day program area of Tri-County’s offices at the Northland Human Services Center, 3100 NE 83rd Street, Kansas City, North. For further information, contact Tri-County Mental Health Services at (816) 468-0400.
