Mary Chance's careful work on Tri-County's medication support has earned her the Employee of the Quarter award.
Tri-County Mental Health Services Nurse Practitioner Mary Chance has been named the organization’s most recent employee of the quarter.
Mary first joined Tri-County in 1995 and has also served with the Saint Luke’s Health Care System.
An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Chance provides Tri-County’s medication support services in collaboration with her partnering physician, Dr. Grant Piepergerdes, Senior Psychiatrist at Tri-County. Working with staff psychiatrists, she helps evaluate, prescribe and monitor the effectiveness of medications prescribed for children and adults. Chance also provides clinical services to Synergy and provides the Tri-County jail programs at Ray and Platte Counties. She also provides outreach clinics in Excelsior Springs and Richmond.
Beyond her tireless and enthusiastic clinical duties, Chance also took the time to remodel her nurse’s office while she was away on vacation. When the nurse returned she was delighted to find her office remodeled with a KU theme for which she is an avid fan.
