Rock-n-Bowl for Prevention will be held Aug. 6 at the Liberty Retro Bowl at 906 W. Liberty Drive. All proceeds from the event with benefit the Northland Coalition that, with the support of Tri-County Mental Health Services, unites volunteer efforts from Clay, Platte and Ray counties to create and implement youth substance abuse prevention programs.
The family event, which will feature a DJ, raffles and prizes, will offer both open and team bowling. Special prizes will be awarded for players dressed in 1980’s fashion.
The “Open Cosmic Bowl” will run from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a cost of $12 per person, which includes shoe rental and two games. No registration is required for the open bowl and lanes will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
The “Team Extreme” bowl will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Registration is required for team play. Teams of four can register for $120 per team by going to northlandcoalition.com and downloading a registration form. The registration includes a private lane for three hours, three games of bowling, shoe rental, and a t-shirt and meal ticket for each player.
