Tri-County Recogized by DEA

Tom Cranshaw, executive director of Tri-County Mental Health Services, Inc., recently accepted an award presented by the Drug Enforcement Administration to honor the positive impact their work has on the community

The award was presented Feb. 15 at a volunteer appreciation breakfast and prevention conference. hosted by the Northland Coalition with support from TCMHS. The event was held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, Mo. Presenting the award to Cranshaw (left) is DEA Special Agent Mike Scalise.

Tri-County offers technical support to the Northland Coalition, a tri-county group of community volunteers focused on the reduction of alcohol, tobacco and other substance abuse and violence in their communities. The coalition also works closely with local, state and federal agencies and legislators to encourage passage of laws that would positively impact the issues
