Stay Up When Recession Gets You Down
A special breakfast and community talk for older adults will focus on staying up as the recession gets you down. The program will be 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the Ray County Health Center, 820 E. Lexington Richmond.
Sally King, Older Adult Care coordinator for Tri-County Mental Health Services, will discuss ways to deal with the uncertain economy and unexpected retirement stresses.
“You can be resilient during your retirement years when life hands you a curve ball,” King explained. “We will discuss some of the latest research on secrets to staying positive and mentally healthy as you age and face unexpected challenges.”
The event is free but if you wish to attend, please RSVP to Stacey Cox at the Ray County Health Center, (816) 776-5413. There will be door prizes.
