
Northland Coalition (NC) recognized their outstanding volunteers as well as community and legislative partners in prevention at their Annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast and Prevention Conference. The event was held Feb. 25 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty. NC has received statewide and national accolades for their success. The coalition, which serves Clay, Platte and Ray counties with the support of Tri-County Mental Health Services, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Following the presentations, the award winners gathered for a photo. (Left to right): New Partners in Prevention Awards were presented to Bob Martin, Station Manager for Radio Disney and Grant Babbitt, local film producer. Kathleen Welton, Clay County Public Health Center, received the Commitment to Prevention Award. Representative Bob Nance, Dist. 036 and Jerry Nolte, state representative for Dist. 033 were presented Outstanding Legislator Awards. Award winners not pictured: Rep. Ryan Silvey, Dist. 038 and Mo. Senator Luann Ridgeway, Dist. 017; Michael Wardrum, Latin Bistro, Dan Moberly, ImageSource, and Rosemary Salerno, Zona Rosa.
